Designing Healthy Communities DVD

Did you know that most modern American cities and suburbs were designed with the car in mind? This is also the first generation of children who are less healthy than the previous generation. Dr. Richard Jackson, a public health advocate, has come to the conclusion that we need to rethink the manner in which we use our collective spaces. He uses specific examples of how different cities have reclaimed old, used and abandoned properties to create thriving neighborhoods, and shows us the impact these moves have made on their populations.
