Audio-Visual Resources

The Library has audio-visual collections for adults, teens, and children.

blue bullet Audiobooks include many CDs, cassettes, and Playaways, plus MP3 downloadble audiobooks.

  • To search in the Catalog just for Audiobooks, go to Keene-Link and choose "Keene Public Library Audiobooks" from the drop-down menu.

  • You can also do a Subject search using the word "audiobooks" or "audiobooks on compact disc" or "audiobooks downloadable KPL" or "childrens audiobooks".

blue bullet Music CDs - are arranged on the shelves by "genre", such as Classical, Jazz, Folk, Popular, Rock, etc.

  • You can search for these using Keene-Link, by performer or composer (do an author search), by title of album (title search), or by song title (using the Keyword search).

  • You can search for just musical recordings by choosing "Keene Public Library Musical Recordings" from the drop-down menus.

blue bullet DVDs & Videocassettes - These include many documentaries, tv series, and some feature films and shorts.  They can be checked out for a one week loan period.

  • You can find them by searching under title, author (for producers, actors, writers), by subjects, or by doing a subject search for "Videos Keene Public Library" or "DVDs Keene Public Library".

  • You can search just DVDs and videos by choosing "Keene Public Library Videos & DVDs" from the drop-down menus.

blue bullet Framed Pictures - Framed art prints and photographs may be checked out for 4 weeks, with a two week renewal.

  • They can be searched in Keene-Link by doing a "Dewey Call number" search for "FR", or by searching for the artist or photographer's name in an author search.
