The library welcomes donations for new books and audio visual materials. Checks can be made payable to the Keene Public Library.
Donation of existing books or audio-visual materials are also welcomed. If items are not added to the collection, they are put in the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale (held each April and October), the proceeds of which are used to purchase items for the library. Library staff will send out letters of acknowledgement for donations for tax purposes, but will not assign a dollar value to specific books.
If you add a book as a tribute or memorial or make a donation for a book, a bookplate can be put in the front of the book indicating that it is a gift in memory of a person.
The Friends of the Keene Public Library welcome contributions. Donations and membership fees should be made payable to the “Friends of the KPL” and mailed to the library.
Keene Public Library serves as an education, cultural, and social center where citizens of all walks of life come together to learn in our small yet thriving New Hampshire town. We were thrilled to be accepted to the Maker Corp program from Maker Education Initiative in 2014. This was the start of our making events but it isn’t the end. We have many more great ideas. Donate online and see what you can make at the Keene Public Library!
With your help of $5 to $+500 we will be able to have an awesome Summer of Making and the Keene Public Library will be able to create and sustain innovative programming like this in the future.
The Keene Public Library offers innovative outreach programs to meet the needs of all segments of our community. The yearly income from the Trustees of the Keene Public Library Endowment Fund is used to increase youth and adult literacy, to bring programs and services into the community and to partner with other community organizations to share the joy of reading and learning.
Arrangements can be made for a memorial trust, planned giving or a stock gift. A member of the Keene PUblic Library Board of Trustees will be happy to discuss with you what your interest is and how we might join together for the benefit of the community.
