The library's monthly Nobel Prize Winning Book Club meets on Tuesday April 17 at 7 p.m. to discuss Sula by Toni Morrison.
The Nobel Prize in Literature 1993 was awarded to Toni Morrison 'who in novels characterized by visionary force and poetic import, gives life to an essential aspect of American reality'.
In tonight's book, Sula Peace returns to her hometown of Medallion, Ohio, in 1937 after a decade away, bringing danger and controversy into the life of her childhood friend Nel--now a conventional housewife--with whom she shares a dark secret.
