For over 60 years the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been responsible for the flood control on the Ashuelot River. To find out what exactly flood control is and what makes Keene such a special area for flood control join Park Ranger, Eric Chouinard for answers to these and many other questions as he explains how flood control works.
Chouinard will be in the Youth Program Room in the Keene Public Library on Monday July 26th from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. to give a lecture and some hands on activities. This event is perfect for anyone over the age of six.
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has partnered with the Keene Public Library and the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) to help support the library programs in communities across the country.
