The Keene Public Library can be a key agency in supporting the educational and learning needs of every person in our community. We can help young children learn to read, provide homework help for all levels of school, offer a wealth of resources for homeschooling families, and provide assistnt to adult learners preparing to take the GED or continuing their education.
The Youth Department runs a Learning Connections Homework Center with resources and trained volunteers to lend a hand. Our volunteer tutors are well trained to help students one-on-one in the library in a variety of academic subjects. Tutoring appointments can be arranged by calling Gail Zachariah at (603) 352-0157.
If you can't make it to the library then, you can connect to a real live tutor from your home. Live Homework Help is available for learners of all ages and abilities. This program is connects students to a real live tutor. Students can receive help in math, science, social studies or English everyday of the week from 1 p.m. until midnight. Help in Spanish is also available.
In addition to our tutoring services, the library's Homework Assistance Program delivers a series of workshops to improve students' study skills. Topics will include reading strategies, note taking and memorization techniques, and library skills. Please visit our online calendar or call Gail Zachariah at (603) 352-0157 for more information.
